WHAT IS 3G NETWORK?
3G Network in the new Sunday morning programming for children of all ages. The name 3G Network refers to the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. During 3G Network, children will be divided into three age groups: GOD’S TOTS (toddlers-preschool age), GOD’S KIDS (kindergarten-grade 6), and GOD’S SQUAD (grades 7-12).
HOW DOES 3G NETWORK WORK?
3G Network runs from 8:30-11:00am each Sunday, and is a series of smaller 6-7 week sessions throughout the year, similar to how a school year is divided into grading periods. Each session is called a “Bible Building Block” and will have a theme. All children will meet together for breakfast and a bible story. Then they will break into age groupings for break-out sessions in which the bible story, memorization passages, and other biblical fundamentals will be discussed. God’s Tots and God’s Kids will also attend a music time. Then all groups will attend church. Following the children’s sermon, God’s Tots and God’s Kids will leave the service to attend a workshop time related to the bible story. This could include crafts, games, music, skills such as basket weaving or cooking, and so on.
DID YOU KNOW THAT 3G NETWORK CONTAINS ELEMENTS THAT WILL HELP YOUR CHILDREN GROW IN SPIRIT AND IN DEVTION TO GOD?
For each Bile Building Block, each child is given goals to achieve. The goals include:
* Memorizing a specific bible passage or prayer.
* Participating in a service project.
* Attending 3G Network on a regular basis.
For each goal achieved, a cross will be added to the child’s designated 3G t-shirt, which will be provided.
HOES DOES MY CHILD EARN A CROSS FOR HIS/HER T-SHIRT?
Attendance – To earn a cross for each Bible Building Block, a child must have perfect attendance for each Block. If he/she attends another church on a given weekend,a bulletin from that church should be turned in as proof of attendance. Two absences with no excuse will granted per year with no penalty. All additional absences will counted unexcused.
Memorization – The child will memorize a prescribed verse, passage, or prayer during each Bible Building Block. The passage will be checked verbally at the end of the Block.
Service Project – The child must complete a service project during each Bible Building Block. The church will offer one service project for the children to do, or a project of their own choice can be completed on their own time. The child should turn in a short written description of how it helped someone else.
FOR EACH TASK THAT IS COMPLETED, A CROSS DECAL WILL BE ADDED TO THE CHILD’S 3G SHIRT DURING A CROSSING SERVICE
Crossing Services will be held on Sunday evenings throughout the year, generally on the evening of the day of each Bible Building Block. Following the Crossing, God’s Squad will attend their Youth Group Meeting. God’s Tots and God’s Kids will have a different activity which will finish around 7:00pm.
DO YOU WANT YOUR KIDS TO SIT WITH YOU DURING CHURCH? DO YOU HAVE A CONFLICT WITH THE LENGTH OF TIME OF 3G?
No problem. 3G Network is flexible. While we recommend that students participate in 3G in its entirely, if you are unable to commit to the while time, there will be designated entrance and exit times. These are breakfast time, bible story time, and church time. Students may start of leave at these times if needed, but again we recommend participation for the entire allotted time as this will allow them to get the most out of their experience.
DO YOU WANT YOUR CHILD TO TAKE COMMUNION WITH YOU?
No problem. When it is time for communion, simply come to get your child from the workshops.
